The Team Leader is responsible and accountable for the continuous safe and efficient service interruption restoration, operations, maintenance and/or construction of the AES Indiana electric Transmission and Distribution systems. Provides supervision, leadership, and training to others through day-to-day contact. Provides technical advice, training, and counsel for difficult operational situations. Prioritizes, directs, monitors, and evaluates performance of direct reports within the reporting organization. Prepares, controls, and administers work schedules and financial budgets to achieve maximum business results relating to overall safety, performance, cost efficiency, and system reliability. Key Responsibilities Prepares and monitors budget compliance; reviews and approves detailed construction estimates for projects in the Department. Leads, directs, and coordinates manpower plans which may involve internal departments and external companies regarding personnel and shift assignments to assure timeliness, efficiency, safety, and economy. Provide technical support, compliance training, and counsel to field personnel as required. Improves work processes to enhance on-the-job safety, quality of work, customer satisfaction and competitiveness of the division; encourages employee participation to develop suggestions for work simplification. Enforces and complies with all federal safety policies, practices, and procedures; through guidance and training, ensures that employees know, understand, and apply all safety rules, OSHA and EPA regulations, good work practices and proper craftsmanship techniques applicable to their work. Maintains an environment promoting safety, excellent customer service, striving to economically meet customer requests within the time requested. Maintains a safe, professional work environment offering employees challenging, meaningful work and opportunities to develop skills and talents. Reviews and approves all Work Day Time Keeping Functions. Basic Requirements
