POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Finished Goods Inventory Control Manager, this position plans and controls distribution activities of finished product inventory. This role involves coordinating the day-to-day execution of the finished goods distribution network.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Review and analyze finished product distribution demand to meet or exceed desired service levels
  • Create, edit, track, and process shipments and receipts of distribution orders for internal and external locations
  • Identify out of stocks for DRP items and communicate the reason, orders affected, and back-in-stock date to Customer Service
  • Drive accountability in case of any order delays and ensure all relevant parameters within MRP are updated
  • Coordinate with Production Planning on product availability to replenish stocking targets
  • Communicate supply changes or deviations from plan and provide potential resolutions to management
  • Review and recommend improvements to current product distribution parameters
  • Responsible for continuous analysis of demand fluctuation and product availability to fulfill customer demand
  • Work collaboratively with 3PL providers and distribution centers to manage the cost impact of movements
  • Adhere to improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, productivity, and customer service
  • Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce process inefficiencies
  • Support Production Planning as a backup
  • Plan and complete assigned tasks within deadlines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or 1-3 years of related experience
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Results driven with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience analyzing data and getting measurable results from that analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology and maintain databases effectively
  • Advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, V-lookup, etc.
  • Good knowledge of MRP
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced dynamic environment with changing demands and priorities
  • Possess excellent written communication skills for reports and presentations
  • Professionalism to work effectively and collaboratively across multiple levels of the organization

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting.

FREQUENT: sitting, upward and downward flexion of neck; fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure to include extended periods of keyboard and mouse use, side-to-side turning of neck, walking and standing,

OCCASIONAL: squatting, kneeling, reach above and at shoulder height, moderate grasp to manipulate reference books and manuals.

VISION: Ability to see close objects i.e. computers for long periods of time with or without correction.

HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
