General Responsibilities:

This role will serve as a member of the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Transitional CRA Home team and serve as the assistant to the program manager. Individual will be responsible for assisting with staff supervision, health and safety of individuals in the Transitional CRA Homes, and will coordinate and provide services to those receiving transitional CRA services.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Program Manager as needed with training and supervision of assigned staff in accordance with state and federal regulations, and AWRC Transitional Homes policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Program Manager with state and federal oversight surveys and inspections as appropriate.
  • Participate as part of an interdisciplinary team in the development and implementation of each client's individual plans (ISP).
  • Complete daily, weekly, monthly and yearly documentation as required by AWRC and state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain staff schedule of assigned staff according to staffing ratio requirements and supervision levels determined by the interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • Assist the Program Manager with financial management of the budget for each home and for each client as specified in ISP.
  • Attend all agency and departmental meetings, client appointments as directed and participate in client specific and house meetings.
  • Monitor overall health care needs including healthcare plans, medications, treatment protocols, and the general well-being of individuals served.
  • Plan and participate directly in recreational, therapeutic, and training activities of the served individuals.
  • Provide on-call services and respond to served individual and house needs.
  • Immediately report to the Program Manager any concerns, problems, or issues regarding, maintenance, environmental safety, staffing, care of served individuals, or the daily operation of the Transitional CRA homes.
  • Assist the Program manager with coordination of repairs and required maintenance of the transitional homes.
  • May be required to provide Crisis Prevention/Intervention instruction to staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/or equivalent. Some college preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience required
  • CPI practitioner certification required.
  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds or more 1% - 33% of the time. Be able to stand and walk 67% - 100% of the time.
