THE HIGH LEVEL

The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for managing complex patient generated health data architecture development and sustainment. Other duties include maintaining an understanding of client business goals, advising clients, and collaborating amongst all technical product teams to ensure successful implementation and change. This position serves the Veterans Health Administration's Connected Care Pillar under the Digital Health Office.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING



  • Provide oversight and manage development cycle for patient generated health data architecture and tools and identify areas for process improvement/efficiencies
  • Conceptualize, analyze and advise clients on solution options to achieve client objectives and ensure compliance with business priorities
  • Coordinate efforts across numerous teams through frequent and effective communication
  • Consult and coordinate with experts and cross-disciplinary teams to ensure clear requirements that meet user needs are established
  • Manage multiple projects, to include planning, risk management and mitigation, training and communication, regular status reporting, and associated documentation
  • Lead and participate in dynamic meetings with cross-functional teams, orchestrating discussions and ensuring clear objectives are met
  • Conceptualize, analyze, and advise clients on solution options to achieve their objectives
  • Work closely with strategic delivery partners, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Additional duties as assigned


WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE



  • You have a bachelor's degree, and preferably also a master's and/or applicable certifications (PMP, ITIL, SAFe Agile).
  • You have at least 7 years of experience applying project management principles in a healthcare and/or technical environment, preferably with some of that related to health IT.
  • You've been responsible for managing a product, or even a suite of products.
  • You possess strong emotional intelligence, enabling you to tailor your communication style and convey technical concepts across interdisciplinary teams.
  • You have managed so many software releases that you can rattle off minute details of a standard approach without having to think about it.
  • You have experience in at least one of the following (the more, the better): Veteran's Health Administration, federal government health IT, consulting.
  • You have excellent presentation skills to include building slide decks and effective communication with executive leadership.
  • You have demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, and multiple subcontractors simultaneously.
  • You are strong in Agile Project Management methodologies and procedures.
  • You are proficient in use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Agile Tools such as Jira.
  • You understand contractual responsibility and the importance of delivering on-time.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, at minimum Public Trust.


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This position is fully remote role and may require up to 10% travel for quarterly review meetings.
