EBT/MIS DATABASE Administrator

As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen.

The EBT/MIS DATABASE Administrator is responsible for overseeing the secure and efficient migration of data across SQL Server databases, ensuring high data integrity and minimal downtime. The specialist will also develop and optimize tools and processes for effective data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for EBT/MIS DATABASE Administrator: $84,000-$85,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

EBT/MIS DATABASE Administrator Responsibilities Include:



  • Plan and manage data migration across SQL Server database environments to ensure integrity and minimal downtime.
  • Design, test, and implement data pipelines to support efficient data transfer and integration.
  • Perform data cleansing, transformation, and validation to ensure the data meets all system requirements and quality standards.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for the migration process, including data mappings, data models, and transfer logs.
  • Proactively monitor the data migration process, identifying any issues and providing effective solutions to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Ensure all data migration activities comply with government regulations for data protection and privacy, such as HIPAA and the Privacy Act of 1974.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.



EBT/MIS DATABASE Administrator Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, with a focus on data management or data engineering.
  • Experience with SQL Server and data migration projects.
  • Strong understanding of database management and data integrity principles.
  • Experience with Microsoft Access and familiarity with legacy systems is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and mapping source to target data, ensuring accurate and complete data transfers.
  • Proficiency in designing SQL queries for data migration and reporting needs.
  • Ability to develop and enhance tools and processes for data migration and management.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues that arise during the migration process.
  • Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Outstanding writing and documentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Able to conduct research into application integration issues and products.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Must be a US citizen and eligible for a position of trust clearance and have a valid US driver's license.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
