Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Health Data Analyst with a strong background in program evaluation and data management, specifically within the context of public health and federally funded programs. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) Health Center Program and experience analyzing and reporting on health center program data. This role will involve supporting the management, analysis, and reporting of health center program performance, ensuring compliance, and providing actionable insights for program improvement.

The Data Analyst will collaborate closely with program managers and other stakeholders to track health center program metrics, evaluate outcomes, and support data-driven decision-making for ongoing health center initiatives.

This is a hybrid position.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Data Collection & Management:
    • Develop and manage data collection strategies for health center programs funded by the BPHC, ensuring accuracy and consistency in the data management process.
    • Ensure the integrity of program data by performing regular data quality checks, identifying inconsistencies, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
    • Collect, clean, and structure data from multiple sources, including health center reports, funding data, and performance metrics.
  • Program Evaluation & Analysis:
    • Analyze health center program performance data to assess effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with federal health guidelines and BPHC requirements.
    • Develop and apply statistical methods, data modeling, and analytical techniques to evaluate health outcomes, program effectiveness, and operational performance.
    • Generate actionable insights and present findings to program managers and stakeholders to inform program improvement and decision-making.
  • Reporting & Dashboard Development:
    • Create clear, user-friendly reports and dashboards to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and program outcomes to internal teams, stakeholders, and funding agencies.
    • Provide regular reports on health center program progress, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
    • Customize reports and visualizations to meet the needs of different audiences, including program managers, senior leadership, and external stakeholders.
  • Support Program Management & Decision-Making:
    • Assist program managers in identifying data-driven solutions to improve program outcomes and meet established performance goals.
    • Participate in program evaluations by designing data collection tools, performing analyses, and reporting on evaluation results.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that data findings are integrated into strategic planning, budgeting, and program development.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant BPHC Health Center Program guidelines, including federal data reporting and performance tracking requirements.
    • Assist with the preparation of reports for regulatory bodies, including progress reports and evaluations of program impact.
    • Support the development of policies and procedures related to data governance, privacy, and security.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Excel, R, Python, or SAS.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical techniques and methods for program evaluation, including regression analysis, cohort studies, and predictive modeling.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and public health data repositories is a plus.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Experience designing data collection methods and working with large datasets from diverse sources.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data integrity and accuracy across large datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings in a clear and accessible manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with program managers, health center staff, and external partners to ensure data is effectively used for program decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Data Science, Statistics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 or more years of experience as a data analyst, preferably with a focus on public health programs, grants management, or health center operations.
  • Experience working with the Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) Health Center Program, or similar public health programs, is highly desirable.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Salesforce, Power BI, or other dashboard tools.
  • Experience preparing reports and presentations for both internal and external audiences, including federal and state agencies.
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to pass a employment background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with HRSA/BPHC reporting requirements and data standards.
  • Experience with federal grant tracking and reporting systems (e.g., HRSA's EHBs or other related platforms).
  • Certification in data analysis, public health evaluation, or project management (e.g., CHDA, PMP) is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $110,000.00-140,000.00 annually.
