Overview

The Vermont Department of Health's Division of Substance Use Programs (DSU) is currently seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic individual to support the Prevention & Planning and Community Services units. DSU supports a network of community partners to promote and deliver a wide range of substance misuse information, prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery programs and services. This will be a hybrid position with 2-3 days per week in office.

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
* Provides administrative and technical support to the directors of Prevention and Planning & Community Services.
* Managing calendars, scheduling meetings, providing training and conference support
* Minute taking at meetings
* Survey creation/support
* Provides technical assistance to the Drug Disposal medication mail back envelope program
* Provides vendor management system and internal control evaluation and monitoring support to the Contracts and Grants Administrators
* Provides year end grant closeout support to Business Administrator
* National performance dashboard data reporting and analysis. Work is performed under the general direction of an administrative superior

It is a Limited Service position, which is non-tenured and authorized for a specific period of time. Limited Service positions are established for specially funded projects or programs.

AHS BACKGROUND CHECKS: Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. Environmental Factors

Duties are performed predominately in an office setting. Private means of travel should be available for occasional travel when appropriate. Incumbents must be adaptable and able to work within tight time limits and under considerable stress. Some evening and weekend duty may be necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years or more of full-time college coursework OR Associate's degree or higher AND three (3) years or more of experience above a technical level in program administration (such as administering components of a licensing and certification program, or records management).

OR

High School diploma or equivalent AND four (4) years or more of experience above a technical level in program administration (such as administering components of a licensing and certification program, or records management).

OR

Two (2) years or more of experience as a Program Technician II with the State of Vermont.

Preferred Qualifications

Looking for individual with Microsoft 365 applications knowledge to include SharePoint site creation and administration.
