Overview

CAES by Honeywell is seeking a Documentation Control Specialist III to support a large assembly group by creating and updating documentation. You will perform periodic audits to ensure compliance to documentation. Your leadership will enable the assembly group to maintain documentation such that instructions are clear and ensure compliance behavior by all personnel. This position is located in San Jose, CA, and no relocation is available.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate ECO (Engineering Change Orders) with other departments. There is collaboration at this point that requires independent decisions and changes with the engineers that create the ECOs.
  • Lead and conduct audits, post metrics and support assembly area such that compliance is maintained.
  • Write ECNs (Engineering Change Notices) and update assembly local control documents
  • Independently determine root causes and corrective actions for any compliance findings. Work with other groups to implement corrective actions as-needed with minimal oversight.
  • Interface with internal customers to ensure assembly production is supported.

Qualifications

MINIMUM:

  • High School diploma.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing environment experience to include root cause analysis or corrective action resolution
  • 2+ years of experience in Excel and Word, to include experience creating documents to be used on the manufacturing floor.
  • 2+ years of experience reviewing and updating Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in a manufacturing environment.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).

PREFERRED:

  • AS/AA in Mechanical Design/Drafting, Manufacturing or equivalent.
  • QA audit or configuration control experience.
  • Strong communication and ability to work cross functionally to problem solve and improve processes and procedures.

Salary Range: Document Control Specialist III: $90,000 - $105,000 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
