Acara Solutions is looking for an Avionics System integration Specialist to work with our partner located in Mesa, AZ who specializes in Avionics Manufacturing.
Here is what you will get:
Contract Length: 3-6 months
Pay Rate: $45-$65/hr DOE
Here is what you will do:
SUMMARY
Responsible for the integration of Avionic and Electrical systems to support the installation of aftermarket products and installations for commercial rotorcraft.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
  • Develop and produce avionics/electrical integration data required for the installation of aircraft modifications and components in the areas of aircraft electrical power, communication, navigation, autopilot, and instrumentation systems.
  • Convert limited modification specification information into engineering design data for use in aircraft completions.
  • Research and review engineering data (drawings, reports, manuals, etc.) defining aircraft systems to determine the most efficient method of integration.
  • Possess expertise on avionic systems design concepts, industry design standards, and company drafting techniques.
  • Communicate designs, data, and specifications to shop managers/personnel in a clear, and concise manner.
  • Resolve problems, delays etc. in a time frame consistent with what is required.
  • Identify potential products and/or vendors that meet design criteria
  • Support various design review meetings with customers
  • In a professional manner coordinate with customers, vendors and other outside agencies to promote and support aircraft completions
  • Support other Engineering disciplines as workload requirements dictate
  • Other duties may be assigned
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year College or University in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Avionic Systems
  • Minimum 4 years experience with AutoCAD or related systems
  • Possess a good working knowledge of commercial and military avionics equipment, aerospace electrical practices, and general aircraft modification operations is preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of CAD programs with complete and thorough knowledge of AutoCAD required.
  • Preference given to candidates possessing working knowledge of Unigraphics, NX and CATIA.
  • Knowledge of avionics and electrical design, integration and analysis.
