Job Summary |
The College of Human Sciences' School of Hospitality Management is hiring a
Communication and Marketing Specialist to support the School of Hospitality (75%) and the College of Human Sciences (25%). This role focuses on elevating digital communication and outreach efforts. The specialist will be crucial in advancing the online presence, engagement, and communication strategies across platforms to connect effectively with diverse audiences, including students, prospective students, faculty, staff, alumni and the broader community.

Essential Functions |
- Drives the social media presence for the School of Hospitality and College of Human Sciences Administration.
- Captures videos, creates photographs and posts to various social media platforms.
- Keeps information relevant, vibrant, and interesting to enhance social media campaigns in order to remain competitive in the higher education landscape.
- Advertise, highlight and promote College of Human Sciences events and uploads summaries to social media.
- Drives prospective students, current students and alumni to the College of Human Sciences story via social media platforms.
- Monitors social media effectiveness and uses analytics to refine strategies to support continuous improvement for the School and College.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications |
Level II:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field.
- 2 years of experience with focus of experience in marketing and communications services to include print journalism.
Level III:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field.
- 4 years of experience with focus of experience in marketing and communications services to include print journalism.
Substitution allowed for Experience:
When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience |
