Instructional Designer Intern - Summer 2025

OUC - The Reliable One, an industry leader and the second-largest municipal utility in Florida, is offering an internship program in the Trans,Substation & Sys Protect.

We are looking for a Instructional Designer Intern - Summer 2025. During the internship, you will be involved in:

• Assisting in the design and development of instructional materials, including e-learning modules, training manuals, etc. tailored for adult learners in the utility sector
• Collaborating with subject matter experts to gather, analyze and develop content related to software applications and work processes
• Applying instructional design theories, practice, and methods to create engaging and effective e-learning experiences and compelling course content
• Developing multimedia elements, including videos, interactive simulations, voice-over scripts and quizzes, to enhance learning
• Supporting the implementation of training programs and workshops

Internship Eligibility:

• Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in a degree seeking program
  Academic status of Junior
• Program of study: Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology or related field
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to commit to a full-time schedule between May 19, 2025 through August 15, 2025

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Camtasia Studio)
• Basic understanding of instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM)
• Familiarity with adult learning, e-learning and technical training principles and techniques

Compensation: $17.00 per hour, varies depending the education level

Schedule: Full-Time (up to 40 hours per week) - Onsite Schedule
