Biochemist associate apprentices at Upper Merion will spend approx. 1 day per week studying towards an associate degree in Biotechnology at Montgomery County Community College. You will spend most of your week working in our quality labs, rotating through different departments, receiving tailored on-the-job training from our in-house industry experts. Over the 3- 4 years of the apprenticeship you will have a personal training program to help you develop and progress. What will you do? As a biochemist associate apprentice, you may get involved in the following activities: Operate specialist laboratory equipment and instrumentation to test our products and raw materials Learn about the process each drug or product follows from test tube through to full scale manufacturing Develop analytical testing skills in line with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) Conduct microbiological & environmental sampling and testing Operate specialist equipment to improve testing procedures Learn how data and documentation is managed and reviewed in a highly regulated industry Develop your knowledge in biochemistry Work in a compliant manner to ensure the safety of yourself, others and the protection of the environment What do we offer you?
