Position Summary The M4 Education Coordinator facilitates the day-to-day tasks required to coordinate student progression through Phase III of the Chicago Medical School curriculum. This role requires independent decision-making regarding the application of CMS requirements, protocols, and policies for the effective management of the M4 student population. The coordinator supports the Director of Clinical Education Management (Phase II/III) and Assistant Dean of Clinical Education to ensure that all programs and processes are managed and organized efficiently. They also serve as liaison to students, faculty, and staff at clinical sites. Candidate may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement after 90 days of employment. Who We Are Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS) is a six-college graduate health sciences university dedicated to the interprofessional education of health and biomedical professionals. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides high-level academic coordination for M4 and M3 electives, assisting students through the processes to schedule, register, and earn credit for completed rotations, while consulting with various university departments and offices as appropriate.
- Serves as the primary liaison between CMS and all M4 course directors, faculty, and clinical sites, offering guidance on CMS policies and protocols and resolving complex issues in collaboration with CMS leadership.
- Oversees and maintains a comprehensive database of intramural elective offerings, ensuring up-to-date information on clinical partner institutions and contacts, while actively supporting the development and integration of new elective courses.
- Advises and assists students regarding M4 education tools and resources and compliance with Phase III course requirements.
- Utilizes expertise and experience to provide recommendations to the Director of Clinical Education Management (Phase II/III) for continuous quality improvement.
- Manages electronic records of all M4 and M3 elective evaluations and coordinates with the Registrar's Office to ensure timely posting of elective grades.
- Assists the Director of Clinical Education Management (Phase II/III) in developing and maintaining student resources, tools, processes, policies, and other information relevant to M4 year.
- Represents the organization at AAMC conferences and webinars, fostering connections and sharing best practices.
- Responds and resolves all email, telephone and walk-in inquiries regarding student issues using outstanding customer service skills.
- Performs job-related duties as assigned or delegated by the Director of Clinical Education Management (Phase II/III).

Required Education & Experience
- HS diploma or GED required.
- Evidence of work experience in a medical or higher education setting, health care administration or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or experience or skills commensurate with a bachelor's degree.
- Knowledge and experience in medical education student processes and principles, student services preferred.
