Collects and processes patient specimens in conformance with all laboratory regulatory requirements. Assists manager in clinical and administrative departmental functions. Communicates customer specific clinical instructions as required to ensure specimen integrity. Performs clerical functions as required. Position Responsibilities:
Position Qualifications Required: Must have a minimum of two years' experience as a phlebotomist Must have outstanding oral communication skills. Must have demonstrated customer service skills. Ability to work in stressful environments. Good time management. Prior supervisory experience is preferred. Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree in a healthcare related field preferred. Training/Certification Licensure: Completion of a phlebotomy training course or equivalent required. Valid Driver's License required where off-site (non-hospital) specimen collections are a function of the position. |
