The Biomechanical Engineer in the St. Jude Gait and Mobility Lab is responsible for developing 3D motion analysis protocols for children and adults with a range of functional abilities. They will develop and implement new approaches to wearable activity monitors and inertial sensors in the Lab and beyond, harnessing their expertise in coding, machine learning and AI. The successful candidate will combine excellent technical skills with great communication and empathy to deliver the very best results for patients with cancer, childhood cancer survivors or catastrophic neurological diseases of childhood. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
