Kratos is looking for a senior level Program Manager to support a complex, integrated satellite ground system program.

TheiProgram Managementiposition is an exciting opportunity based in Colorado Springs, CO that encompasses dimensions of Project Management and leadership with knowledge of Systems Development, Engineering, and Integration. The successful candidate will work directly with the Kratos Space Federal team, including engineering, finance, program management, and business development. Our program managers collaborate with our functional managers to develop long term visions in strategic business pursuits, successfully create solutions for executing programs, and expand our business pipeline by listening and responding to current and potential customer needs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:



  • Leadihighly technical engineering teams developing various ground based SATCOM systems
  • Manageiproject technical and business baselines, tracking and estimating budgets and technical progress
  • Work with our engineering experts to provide technical advice to our customers on architectures and potential solutions
  • Collaborate with functional/resource managers to allocate staff resources and identify resource needs
  • Properly manage proprietary and sensitive information and activities
  • Interface directly with customers to ensure project requirements are properly defined and delivery expectations are met
  • Manage sub-contractors and vendors, as applicable
  • Developiand deliver effective customer presentations (design reviews, statusireports, kickoff meetings, test plans) demonstrating an ability to communicate comfortably at a system level
  • Report on project financial and technical performance to senior management
  • Travel as necessary to attend conferences and customer meetings
  • Be a strong team player to the project team and to the organization
  • Required to current have TS with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Willing to travel to provide customer support (typically 10% CONUS travel)

Required Experience:

  • Batchelor of Science in a technical discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer or related degree) and at least 7 years relevant work or 10 years operational experience (willing to consider a range of work and educational levels)
  • Willingness to learn, take ownership, and deliver high-quality results in an unstructured environment
  • Prior experience in Project Management or Technical Leadership roles.
  • Direct experience with Government space acquisition processes and programs.
  • Working knowledge of space systems, including ground systems, satellite command and control, RF systems, and system development processes.
  • Generating and effectively managing EACs
  • Support, track, and status project/program schedules
  • Track and status project/program budget and execution
  • Experience in leading a technical team comprised of a diverse group of engineers across multiple disciplines
  • Present programmatic information to team members, management and customers as appropriate
  • A self-starter and able to work in a fast paced execution environment, with small and large engineering project teams (an absolute must)
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Required to current have TS with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Willing to travel to provide customer support (typically 10% CONUS travel)

  • Knowledge and Experience using MS Project
  • Knowledge and Experience using MS Excel & Word
  • Familiarity with FFP and CP types of contracts.
  • Experience with Agile program execution methodologies.

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $155,000-$190,000
