The Janitor- Porter independently cleans restrooms, offices, break rooms, locker rooms, kitchenettes/pantries, showers, stairwells, corridors, elevators, and other work areas. Duties involve a combination of the following: sweeping, mopping floors; removing trash and other materials for recycling; dusting furniture or fixtures; polishing metal fixtures or trimmings; replenishing restroom supplies. Service shall be provided to the East and West Wings on a 24/7 basis. Schedules for service within the Wings are general guidelines, which may be required to shift based on events and tours occurring in the space. This Porter position is Essential Personnel and will be expected to perform duties as described in the contract.



  • Cleaning offices, corridors, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, break room, library, closets, kitchenette, stairways, locker rooms, storage rooms, and other work areas.
  • Informs supervisor of problems, concerns, and safety issues.
  • Places wet floor signs out and umbrella bags as needed.
  • Sweeping, floors using brooms, and mops.
  • Cleaning rugs, carpets, furniture using a vacuum.
  • Dusting furniture and equipment.
  • Polishing brass.
  • Dusting woodwork.
  • Emptying wastebaskets.
  • Transporting trash to disposal area and recycling to designated areas.
  • Replenishing restroom supplies.
  • Spot cleaning carpet.
  • Responds to phone calls from designated government points of contact.
  • Responsible for carts for restrooms and trash and recycling.
  • Responds to emergency phone calls in their assigned building; this function may extend to other buildings associated with this contract.
  • Responsible for producing quality work.
  • Responsible for appropriate conduct and demeanor as dictated by Didlake policy.
  • Responsible for following safety standards and guidelines in the proper use of the equipment and
  • other activities.
  • Completes and maintains all Didlake required training.
