Job Overview

Schedule: Monday - Friday; start time 5am

The FieldMerchandising Analyst position is responsible for all administrative and analytical duties for the merchandising department. This position will support a team of Merchandising Supervisors and will report directly to the Area Sales Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitors proper staffing levels to ensure optimal customer service through effective hiring and training of full and part-time bulk merchandisers
  • Responsible for interviewing candidates and onboarding
  • Files correspondence and records policy acknowledgments, corrective actions, and training completions
  • Oversees the device set up and maintenance for new merchandisers. Responsible forschedules for all new merchandisers
  • Orders and maintains all supplies, including teammate equipment, uniforms, and office supplies
  • Manages grievances and coordinates meetings with the Union (if applicable)
  • Works with route planning team on optimizing daily routes and provides feedback on daily route plans. Understands available staffing by day regarding full and part-time staff and suggests staffing changes based on business initiatives and trends
  • Maintains an open dialogue and meets with District Sales Managers and Bulk Account Developers to review the performance of merchandising team and identify opportunities; also leads the department in implementing company policies and procedures
  • Monitors department budget and prepares monthly updates for multiple branches across a Market Unit
  • Manage the cost per case for bulk merchandising vs. budget

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Shared company ethics and values
  • Basic experience andunderstanding of DSD business industry, excellent PC skills with advanced skills Excel, PP, and Word, P and L experience preferred
  • Union experience preferred
  • College or degree not required
  • Industry knowledge specifically related to large store sales format and merchandising functional experience
  • Ability to collaborate and strongly influence others
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
