What You'll do:



  • Lead a team of strategic HR partners that serve as trusted partners to employees, managers and executives on people related matters
  • Build and support a high performing team of HR professionals who support North America employees and are aligned by business
  • Drive your team to a high standard of service, with an expectation of adhering to SLAs, escalating and addressing risk, identifying opportunities to improve service and collaborating effectively across Centers of Excellence
  • Create and implement innovative People programs that help leaders achieve their business goals, in partnership with People Development teams
  • Collaborate with People Development leaders to ensure teams are working together on business team support, sharing insights and creating a seamless employee experience
  • Partner with colleagues in EMEA & APAC to create globally consistent programs, while adhering to local practices
  • Lead and own the end-to-end resolution of complex inquiries/issues related to senior executives, in partnership with Centers of Excellence across the People Teams
  • Champion a culture of high work performance by providing both hands-on support and thought partnership to your team
  • Leverage data insights to drive team behavior and identify business needs
  • Analyze team metrics, KPIs, SLAs and other data sources to recommend and implement continuous improvement
  • Leverage knowledge of employment law to help mitigate risk while consulting on People related matters
  • Provide recommendations to senior leadership on the performance measures that should be taken in response to individual needs
  • Weigh in on the design and implementation of strategic employee programs, such as Engagement Survey action planning, Performance Management Design and Learning & Development
  • Skilled in deescalating potential conflicts and building conflict resolution strategies in partnership with People Development and People Relations teams


Who you are:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant master's degree
  • 12-15 years working as a HR Business Partner or as a Talent Advisor, with 8+ years working as a manager of a high-performing team
  • Employment law background - significant knowledge of employment law across the United States, particularly in New York and California. Global experience preferred
  • Experience supporting senior executives and c-suite members.
  • Practical understanding and experience across key HR functional areas, processes, and practices, including both technical and non-technical functions
  • Experience driving teams to provide excellent levels of service
  • Experience building strong relationships with the business and earn trust and credibility through delivery and execution
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and create results
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with proven experience in delivering sensitive messaging of all types to a wide variety of individuals
  • Demonstrated experience with conflict management and resolution
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Act as an independent thinker and self-starter


NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only: In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$164,900 $302,400 USD
