Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
We are looking for a detail-oriented problem-solver like you to drive the future of our business in the communities we serve. As an item processor, you will use precision in both reviewing transactions and providing documentation. In this role, you work closely with internal customers on issues that impact our business. You are the engine behind the scenes of deposit services, where your engagement with processes such as the review of transactions, corrections of errors, and research help our business run smoothly. Our learning approach includes experiential, hands-on learning where you are able to work alongside your fellow team members to perform meaningful work. An interest in growing knowledge and development over time in areas such as product knowledge, technical and computer skills, and regulation and compliance are also vital in this role. What You'll Do:
- The Daily Grind - Attention to detail and problem solving come together under your focus of reviewing check images to correct and balance captured proof transactions. You accomplish this through verifying summaries of processed work, making appropriate corrections to out of balance transactions and working with branch personnel to resolve balancing issues. At times, you will access your resources to perform research and dig deeper to locate and correct errors. As you gain experience, you will work with highly detailed documents, digital documents/paperwork as well as communicate with external stakeholders and/or vendors and so much more!
- You're Part of a Team - You are a member of the Deposit Services team which includes Item Processing, Document Scanning, Reconciliation and other Deposit Operations staff. You will also work with vendors to resolve issues related to software and hardware. This role offers amazing insight into the world of banking behind the scenes and our local operations.
- And you have to be able to juggle - Multiple and conflicting priorities will come up under specific time constraints. In concert with your leader and other team members, you have to be quick to act when issues arise.
What it Takes:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Skilled in: working with computers, mathematical skills, effective time management, and interpersonal relationships
- Ability to: communicate effectively (written and verbally), maintain confidentiality, work with speed and accuracy, grasp technical information quickly, and work independently and as a team member.
- Responsible for adhering to compliance laws, regulations, and established Bank policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering.
