Job Description

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: The Department of Neurology is seeking a Neuropsychology Testing Technician to join our team. As the preeminent group in Neuro-Oncology, we provide comprehensive care to adult cancer patients, and conduct a wide range in clinical research studies.

Responsible for administering and scoring standardized neuropsychological tests and questionnaires to adult patients (age 18) under the supervision of a board certified clinical neuropsychologist in an academic medical center. The patient population includes adults and older adults with central nervous system (CNS) and non-CNS cancers. Participation in clinical research focused on cancer treatment-related neurotoxicity, including cognitive and neuroimaging outcomes, is encouraged.

Role Overview:

    Administer screenings, neuropsychological tests, and questionnaires under direct supervision of a neuropsychologist.
  • Document behavioral observations during testing.
  • Score test protocols according to manual- or software-based instructions.
  • Enter raw and appropriately normed test scores into data summary reports for clinical and/or research purposes.
  • Perform other appropriate duties as assigned (e.g., maintenance of tests, test protocols)
  • Demonstrates continued proficiency in skills required to administer standardized tests to the assigned patient population.
  • Participate in clinical research studies focusing on cancer treatment-related neurotoxicity.
  • Assist with preparation of (1) manuscripts for publication (2) literature review (3) workshops/presentations.

Key Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in psychology or related field. A NYS license is not required.
  • Prior training/experience in neuropsychological test administration in adults is required. Some on the job training is possible.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Pay Range: $30.77-$47.75
