The New York City Department of Transportation is seeking an experienced, highly-motivated, and creative individual to join the NYC Department of Transportation's Office of Press and Communications as Creative Director. The ideal candidate is an excellent storyteller, a strategic thinker, an experienced social media professional, and possess an outstanding sense of humor. The Creative Director will develop and execute, across communications channels, the creative vision for the agency's communications. The Creative Director will oversee the creative direction for all external agency communications, with a particular focus on social media. The Creative Director will also advise on creative strategy for marketing, graphic design, videography and photography, and other related work. The candidate will be the lead social media content creator and supervise the NYC DOT social media team. The Creative Director will develop fun, engaging, and innovative ideas and concepts that align with Office of Communications and agency goals and will collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective execution. Minimum Qualifications A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of satisfactory, full-time experience related to the projects and policies to be studied in the particular position. - A proven track record in developing and executing creative strategies on social media, advertising, or marketing with outstanding creativity and sense of humor - A strategic thinker with a demonstrated knowledge of how to creatively use communications platforms to build engagement and advance goals - An ability to work independently and in collaboration with colleagues in a fast-paced environment - 5+ years of experience in creative strategy, social media, advertising, or marketing Public Service Loan Forgiveness

New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County.
