JOB TITLE: Senior Systems Engineer (Data Protection) - Top Secret Required

GOVERNMENT AGENCY: DOJ NSD - National Security Division

POSITION INFORMATION: Full-Time Position; Government contractor supporting DOJ NSD

LOCATION: Employee must work onsite at one of the following two approved DOJ work locations - Washington, DC OR Bluemont, VA (Mount Weather)

POSITION TIMING: Position requires candidate to obtain SCI prior to starting; can take 2-4+ weeks to process

The mission of the National Security Division (NSD) is to carry out the Department's highest priority: to combat terrorism and other threats to national security. The Infrastructure Support and Software Development Services division provides all IT services necessary to support the NSD's Infrastructure & Operations as well as Software Development, Engineering, and Service Desk.

Design, implement, optimize, maintain, upgrade, and document Data Protection (e.g. backup, snapshot, contingency plans) solutions.
• Ensure the restoration of a virtual machine on each network and each location meet the Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and Recovery Time Objective (RTO).
• Perform the operation and maintenance activities of a systems administrator.

• 10+ years of Systems Engineering/Administration experience
• Expertise with Data protection solutions - ie NetApp, Dell Appassure, Dell EMC, Veem, etc
• Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree, preferred
• Infrastructure Certifications, plus
• Active Top Secret, required

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Candidate must be able to function in general office environment.
