Job Summary: GoldenWolf is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team of senior leaders. As CFO, you will play a critical role in driving our company's financial performance, growth, and success. You will be responsible for leading our finance function, developing and implementing financial strategies, and providing financial guidance to our leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership and Guidance:

  • Provide financial guidance in support of company vision and strategic direction
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and policies to achieve business objectives
  • Provide leadership and support to the accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions
  • Responsible the general ledger and account reconciliations and analyses
  • Lead the finance function, including financial planning, accounting, treasury, and partner/vendor relations

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop and manage the company's financial plans, budgets, and forecasts
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and communicate financial metrics to senior management
  • Develop and manage appropriate financial controls in accordance with the company's culture and established procedures
  • Manage positive relationships with banks and other financial partners
  • Analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop corrective actions
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including annual reports, quarterly earnings releases, and other regulatory filings
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations
  • Work with external auditors on audits and reviews

Capital Management and Funding:

  • Monitor and manage cash flow
  • Develop and implement capital management strategies to optimize funding and reduce costs
  • Help identify and support the pursuit of opportunities for growth, including acquisitions, partnerships, and investments

Risk Management:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to the organization
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies
Requirements
  • Unanet financials experience strongly preferred.
  • Government Contracting experience in accounting functions (Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, rev rec, fixed assets, financial statement generation, monthly close, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • CPA preferred
  • Thorough understanding and application of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) knowledge/experience.
  • Strong organizational skills - must be comfortable managing multiple priorities, keeping detailed notes, and following through on all action items
  • Strong communication skills required - must be comfortable collaborating with remote personnel, customers and co-workers at all levels
  • Strong leadership skills - must be adept at building and managing a group of accounting professionals
  • Intermediate to advance proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in the engineering services industry or a related field is a plus
