Position Title:EHR Application Analyst - Cupid (Remote Option) Department:IT Care Delivery Applications Job Description:

This position may be performed remotely from the following locations within the United States of America: Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Occasional Onsite OKC meetings a few times each year.

General Description: The EHR Application Analyst-Radiology/Imaging will assist in the development, support and functionality roll out of an Electronic Health Record, PACS, CVIS PACS and other interfacing systems. The EHR Application Analyst-Radiology/Imaging assists the organization in optimizing their workflow processes through building applications that are tailored to meet the organizations' needs. They will learn the EHR & PACS system's capabilities and functional use and apply their knowledge of Healthcare Business workflow to assist in the implementation of a system that meets process needs.

  • Participates in all phases of the system development life cycle including development of use cases and evaluation of software solutions
  • Develops, configures, and modifies moderately complex information systems
  • Creates documentation of business requirements, current and future state workflows
  • Designs, codes/configures, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains program/applications
  • Coordinates all testing phases of associated applications during implements and upgrades
  • Supports existing functionality with future expansion to additional areas
  • Develops strong relationships with end user communities, customers, and business partners
  • Utilizes best practices for use within the organization.
  • Provides hands-on training as needed for end users
  • Serves as a key IT resource for implementation and support and administering medical imaging systems to include PACS, CVIS PACS, and technical medical imaging interfaces and related technologies (eg, voice recognition)
  • Ensures system design, interface functionality, and clinical processes are coordinated and functioning effectively
  • Performs application maintenance and testing of application upgrades and fixes
  • Works with the Imaging and IT teams to actively promote and implement network standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization plans for medical imaging applications.
  • Promotes medical imaging application security and confidentiality, and works with internal IT Security team to ensure compliance.
  • Participates in configuration of medical imaging modalities
  • Serves as a key onsite EHR/PACS IT resource for facility implementation and support of a broad set of healthcare applications.
  • Leads and facilitates the facility's core clinical and business systems team on IT activities
  • Provides second level support as a broad EHR subject matter expert to resolve incidents or fulfill requests
  • Serves as project leader for implementations of EHR applications software releases and new products
  • Provides on-call assistance as needed
  • Works with the team to lead, monitor, and facilitate new module/application testing
  • Provides input to policies and procedures, training, and best practices for use within the organization
  • Works with the team and facility core team members to deliver hands-on training as needed
  • Participates in meetings as a member of organizational leadership as required
  • Builds strong relationships with core customer base (nurses, physicians, revenue cycle, health information management, core team members, etc.) and facility leadership

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in related field and at least 1 year of applicable IT or clinical experience

Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Four years of experience will be considered equivalent to a Bachelor's degree.

Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: Specific EHR modules certification required within 3 months of class completion. Classes will begin within first 2 weeks of hire based on class availability.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Excellent analytical, organization, and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and within teams. Ability to solve complex problems and understand customer needs. Strong understanding of healthcare business process and technology. Basic understanding of healthcare workflows and terminology. Working knowledge of IT solutions and interfacing a plus. EHR Certification is required within 3 months of class completion. Must be able to drive to assigned sites to complete work. Must be able to travel in state and out of state on occasion.
