JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for protecting Everus' data and information technology assets by overseeing and managing the company's cyber security strategy and security operations.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • A working knowledge of IT cybersecurity at a level normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in computer science, information technology (IT) or related field; and
  • Ten years' experience of technical experience in Cybersecurity or a combination of Cybersecurity roles.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Develops, executes, and continuously refines a cybersecurity strategy that aligns with the organization's business goals and risk tolerance.
  • Ensures compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations, standards, and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR). Monitors changes in regulations and assess their impact on security practices.
  • Identifies, assess, and prioritizes cybersecurity risks across the organization. Develops and implements risk mitigation strategies and plans.
  • Oversees design, implementation and management of security infrastructure and technical controls.
  • Promotes cybersecurity awareness and training programs for employees at all levels, fostering a culture of security consciousness.
  • Coordinates internal and external security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing. Addresses findings and implement corrective actions.
  • Stays updated on emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques. Utilizes threat intelligence to enhance security measures and incident response plans proactively.
  • Develops and manages the cybersecurity budget, effectively allocating resources to support security initiatives and technology investments.
  • Provides regular reports to senior management and the board of directors on the organization's cybersecurity posture, incidents, and risk management activities.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional departments, including IT, legal, and compliance, to ensure cybersecurity initiatives align with overall business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Works with customers and clients to ensure the company follows customer data protection requirements.
  • Plays a key role in crisis management and communication during major IT-related incidents or breaches, working with internal and external stakeholders to minimize damage and recover.
  • Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS PACKAGE


  • Salary range $164,720 - $205,900.
  • Annual short-term incentive bonus of up to 50% of eligible wages based on eligibility and company goal achievement.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION


  • This position is required to be on-site at Everus' corporate location in Bismarck, ND or at an Everus operating company location. Hybrid option may be considered.
  • Travel requirements: Minimal up to 10% including in-state and out-of-state by car and/or plan with overnight stays.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
  • May be required to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Background check, MVR and drug screen may be required.
