AGING AND DISABILITY RESOURCE NETWORK MANAGER

Department of Family and Support Services

Number of Positions: 1

(Additional vacancies possible pending budget approval)

Starting Salary: $80,628.00

Description

Under general supervision, assists in the management and administration of the Aging and Disability Resource Network by ensuring streamlined access to long-term services and support options for older adults and individuals with disabilities, and performs related duties as required

ESSENTIAL DUTIES



  • Manage and provide strategic direction to the day-to-day operations of Aging and Disability Resource Network using data driven decision principles.
  • Lead a team of Assistant Community Living Information & Referral Specialists, Supervisors and Administrative staff members. including providing proactive performance management of team and individual call center metrics.
  • Develop a robust system for staff performance management including the identification of performance barriers, implementing interventions, and creating performance plans.
  • Track performance outcomes and call center data analytics, coordination with community-based organizations, strategic planning, tracking service trends and identifying unmet needs.
  • Effective problem solving, interpersonal skills and relationship building proficiency is required.
  • Collaborate with team members to make a difference in our customers' lives by ensuring that they receive the right information at the right time
  • Update and maintain resource directory and reference materials for the team
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Conduct routine team meetings, coaching sessions, and presentations for a wide range of audiences.
  • Work effectively with staff and external contacts to build and maintain successful teams and relationships.
  • Coordinate and conduct ongoing training



Department of Family and Support Services

Location: 121 North LaSalle (City Hall)

Shift: Monday-Friday

Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree or higher in Gerontology, Psychology, Social Sciences, Public Health, or a directly related field, plus two years of experience in the planning, implementation, and administration of social service programs; OR a Bachelor's degree in the above listed fields plus three years of experience in the planning, implementation, and administration of social service programs

Selection Criteria

This position requires applicants to complete an interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the interview will be selected

Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:



  • Previous experience leading large teams.
  • Previous experience managing large scale social services programs for older adults.
  • Previous experience documenting status and outputs of projects and processes as well as performance outcomes using data driven management principles.
  • Working knowledge of issues and concerns facing older adults, adults living with disabilities, and their families and caregivers; aging and disability and community resources available in the local area; and Federal and State laws/regulations applicable to entitlement programs.
  • Ability to provide person centered and person directed philosophies of service delivery; work in a professional manner with diverse populations of older adults with disabilities including mental, physical, functional, cultural, financial; environmental; to determine appropriate referrals.
  • Previous experience with benefits and health care insurance programs for older adults and persons with disabilities.
  • Previous experience applying quality management and improvement tools and processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
