POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for training, leading, and managing a team of Auditors to ensure timely and accurate payments from Bass Pro Shops to our partner carriers. Ensure invoices received from carriers are accurate and compliant with carrier contracts signed by Bass Pro leadership and work directly with carrier representatives to resolve discrepancies as well as manage Bass Pro's accounts with carriers to ensure invoices are paid within contractual payment terms. Partner with the Inbound and Outbound logistics teams and Vendor Compliance team to identify violations of the freight routing rules in the Bass Pro Shops Vendor Guide and enter vendor chargebacks when appropriate. Maintain accurate data and reporting in Bass Pro's transportation management systems. Conduct training with internal and external partners on current domestic transportation processes. Provide additional support to the Logistics Management Team by completing additional tasks and processes as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsibility: 60%, Manage the flow of incoming invoices in Descartes TMS and the invoice approvals to Bass Pro and White River Marine Group accounting teams ensuring payments are made per the rates and payment terms outlined in carrier contracts. Leads, problem solves, and works alongside Transportation Audit team members to audit invoices against TMS rated amounts and refute inaccurate charges with carriers prior to approving payment. Work directly with carriers to ensure Bass Pro accounts are kept current in both Bass Pro and carrier systems, acting as the primary point of contact for carrier questions on invoicing. Train Auditors reporting to them on departmental SOPs and best practices and update SOPs and copies of carrier rates as needed.
  • Responsibility: 20%, Analyze carrier invoice error trends to proactively work with carriers to resolve. Enter vendor chargebacks in the VC portal and communicate repeat offenders to Vendor Compliance and answer vendor questions about chargebacks.
  • Responsibility: 20%, Provide operational reporting pertaining to dedicated fleet spend, record audit savings, and track invoice accuracy for carrier scorecards.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree required

  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in supply chain, logistics or transportation role required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Transportation/Logistics Experience Preferred

  • High level of attention to detail

  • MS Excel

  • Regular computer work, and sitting

  • Occasional walking, standing, and lifting
