Clearance: The ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI w/CI polygraph clearance

Overview: Invictus is excited to offer an 8-week a Software Engineering internship hosted at our Alexandria, VA headquarters. This unique opportunity allows undergraduate and graduate students to work alongside fellow interns on meaningful software projects, collaborating closely with senior engineering mentors and engaging with subject matter experts in the government IT space. Selected candidates will gain valuable experience working on projects that directly serve or closely support Federal government clients, gaining real-world exposure to software engineering and innovation in a mission-driven environment.

Job Details:



  • This internship is hosted full-time for 8 weeks at our Alexandria, VA HQ office
  • Applicants should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, an eagerness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Interns will work on an independent team of associates under the guidance of senior engineering mentors, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment
  • The program will feature a series of information sessions led by subject matter experts (SMEs) in the government IT sector, offering interns insights into industry challenges, solutions, and trends



Requirements:



  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree related to Computer Science, Cyber Engineering, Data Science, or a similar field
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Python, JavaScript, C, Go, or Rust
  • Demonstrate an understanding of scripting and the use of a command-line interface (CLI)
  • Candidates should have a basic familiarity with cloud computing concepts, including Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
  • US citizenship required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI w/CI polygraph clearance
