Structural Engineering Intern

Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for a limited-term, full-time Engineering Intern to work on structural engineering projects within our Building Engineering group at either of the following office locations: Madison, WI, Lexington, SC, or Sacramento, CA. This opportunity would be starting in May/June 2025 and ending in August/September 2025, and it also has potential to become a full-time engineering position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting engineers, design technicians, and surveyors with structural engineering projects
  • Performing design calculations, quantities, and cost estimates
  • Other tasks as assigned

Successful candidates must have completed at least two semesters of college-level coursework in civil, architectural, or structural engineering.

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:

  • Class or work experience in steel, concrete, and masonry design
  • Class or work experience with RISA, TEDDS, Enercalc
  • Class or work experience with IBC Building Code and ASCE7
  • Class or work experience with MS Excel

Hourly Rate Range: $18.00 to $25.00 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
