Job Summary




The Arrowhead Products Vice-President of Finance (VP-Finance) will be responsible for planning, directing and controlling overall financial plans, policies and accounting practices. The position is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results. The VP-Finance is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. The VP-Finance also interfaces with government auditors and ensures that financial records comply with FAR regulations.





Essential Duties and Responsibilities





  • Develop strategic, operational and tactical business plans to achieve desired business goals
  • Maintain a positive work environment that supports self-directed teams; provide a structure to optimize the experience, skill, knowledge and capability of the Accounting teams.
  • Ensure that a system of internal accounting controls is in place and functioning effectively.
  • Oversee preparation of timely and accurate financial statements and other information for strategic and corporate financial planning and analysis.
  • Oversee all financial, regulatory and internal audits.
  • Manage the preparation, review and management of departmental administrative operating budgets.
  • Manage all aspects of the company's insurance program.
  • Supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisitions.
  • Monitor all open ITAR, government FAR and legal issues involving the company, keeping management informed.
  • Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
  • Responsible for ensuring that inventory records reflect actual quantities on hand, inventory valuation methods are appropriate, and adjustments are entered in the accounting system on a timely basis.
  • Issue timely and complete financial statements; respond to queries from Arrowhead Products and Corporate management.
  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics.
  • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
  • Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management and Corporate.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Education and Experience





  • Requires Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. CPA designation required.
  • Requires 15+ years accounting and finance management experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated track record of effective cost accounting and analysis; job cost accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial reporting guidelines (GAAP, SAP, NAIC, FAR) and their impacts on financial presentations.
  • PC/MS Office proficiency including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • High level of written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.




Supervisory Responsibilities





  • Directly supervise the IT and the Trade Compliance Department
  • Able to oversee the work of your direct reports; ensuring they are effectively producing quality work.
