The madrel operator position is located in our Alliance, NE facility. We have second and third shift positions available.
1. Select proper mandrel and set up inspection and mold machine, prepare tank with correct lube and set proper traverse setting.
2. Operate inspection machine, cut out any known defects, splice ends together, and coil into tub.
3. Operate mold machine, paying particular attention to any defects like cracks, excess rubber, alignment of mold and smoothness of outer surface.
4. Measure the O.D. of mandrel with an O.D. tape or sliding calipers to determine if the mandrel is within specification limits of diameter and ovality.
5. Prepare lube tank and treating machine, agitate the lubricant properly and apply a consistent application of lubricant to the mandrel.
6. Prepare and complete necessary paperwork.
Experience:
Production work preferred but not required
