Aptiv's Supply Chain Leadership Development Program includes rotations across multiple Supply-Chain disciplines with the aim of developing Technical and Commercial expertise, in addition to developing strong leadership capabilities to fast-track leadership development and progression within Aptiv.
The key objective of the role is to support the Aptiv Supply-chain function across multiple disciplines to achieve it's operational and strategic objectives in the areas of Supply, Cost, Risk, Quality, Compliance and productivity, to drive maximum value for the wider business. The role initially reports into a Director of Sourcing within SCM. Your Role
- Direct and Indirect Buying:
- Negotiate pricing & terms for Spot Buys and Tactical Sourcing deals
- Create RFQ Documents and run RFQs/eAuctions for sourcing activities
- Manage Supplier in-life Contract obligations and commercial performance and day to day transactional Supplier relationship
- Work with the Business to drive usage savings and demand management initiatives
- Manage and mitigate live Supply risks
- Load Contracts onto Contract Management Systems & record Contract Obligations
- Monitor Supplier Contract & Catalogue expiry dates
- Category Strategy Development: Support Category managers to help:
- Create & implement Category Strategies
- Analyse external market trends, inflation outlook, macro-economic conditions
- Develop 3 year Cost, Technology and Product roadmaps
- Develop Supply-chain resiliency/Supply risk profiles to mitigate emerging risks
- Develop long-term supply strategies & develop potential supply-base
- Analyse internal Customer demand & corresponding Supplier spend analysis and develop Category Demand management strategies
- Strategic Sourcing: Support Category Sourcing teams to:
- Negotiate Key deals (commercially & Contractually)
- Develop & implement Sourcing strategies for individual requirements
- Understand stakeholder requirements for individual sourcing needs
- Make Sourcing Awards and obtain necessary stakeholder approvals/alignment
- Drive Price savings within Category & develop annual savings plan
- Support implementation of Category Strategy through sourcing awards
- Logistics management:
- Plan and manage warehousing operations to minimize inventory
- Coordinate shipping of goods to and from Customers/Suppliers/Aptiv plants
- Supply-Chain resilience:
- Analyse external market trends and risk triggers to determine potential macro-risks
- Review existing Supply contingency plans and work with category teams to develop new contingency plans to address short and medium term risks
- Maintain Supply-Chain resiliency tool with multi-tier supply-chain Geo-location data
- Map out supply-chain dependencies to identify critical single points of failure
- Supply-chain Compliance
- Support and input into global SCM Compliance Strategy and policies
- Monitor and manage key compliance obligations, controls & measures to ensure compliance to Aptiv's compliance standards
- Carry out regular, documented audits and risk assessments of SCM's compliance obligations
- Develop management action plans to address any gaps or compliance risks
- Supply-chain Strategy / Supply-Chain analytics
- Support development of medium & long term Supply-chain strategy
- Develop and manage Supply-Chain Key Performance Indicators

Qualifications/Skill Requirements
- Business or supply-chain-related degree-qualified, preferably Masters in Business or Supply-chain discipline
- Strong interest in & basic knowledge of global commercial practices, economic & geopolitical trends, issues & current events
- Good general business and financial acumen with ability to analyse data and interpret financial trends
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and project manage effectively to simplify complex situations to influence and drive the necessary change or improvement
- Ability to working in a professional business environment and communicate effectively to work colleagues, managers, suppliers, stakeholders
- Location: Initially Dublin City Centre but requirement to rotate to other Aptiv locations internationally as required
