All basic tasks of building and grounds care which include, but are not limited to: sweeping, mopping, waxing, dusting, trash removal, moving of furniture and supplies set-up and take down of equipment, and shoveling. Accommodating the public's or district's use of school facilities and other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Must be capable on a continuous basis of standing, walking, stair climbing, reaching, handling and gripping without difficulty, repetitive movement of both hands and arms. Must be capable, on a frequent basis, of bending, stooping, pushing or pulling heavy objects, lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 80 pounds. Must be capable, on an occasional basis, of climbing ladders, driving a light truck or cleaning equipment, or working at heights up to 30 feet about the ground. Qualifications Perform routine inspections to identify and address maintenance needs. Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and fixtures. Perform minor carpentry tasks, including furniture repair and door adjustments. Paint and patch walls, ceilings, and other surfaces as needed Remove snow, ice, and debris from outdoor spaces. Preventive Maintenance - conduct routine preventive maintenance on equipment, door hardware and tools Keep tools, equipment, and systems in optimal working condition. Work in partnership with all facilities in collaboration with the building supervisor Operate maintenance machinery such as forklifts, lifts, and tools. |
