Hartland WI 2nd Shift Monday - Friday 3pm - 11pm $17 - $ 20 p/ hr Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, labeling, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products. Plan, direct, and coordinate the storage and distribution operations within an organization or the activities of organizations that are engaged in storing and distributing materials and products. Operate forklifts to move materials around. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, UPS system, Understands and follows the process for EDDM orders and the post office report. Operates forklifts and clamp trucks in a safe manner Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials. Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment. Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
