JOB SUMMARY

Plans, develops, organizes, and supervises the design and construction efforts for a total project. This will involve coordinating all design efforts as well as overall management of field construction activities.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • 5 - 10 years' experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management required
  • NICET certification required.
  • Completion of OSHA 10 hour training - certification.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • NICET level II is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Autosprink software.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Review project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects.
  • Confer with project staff to outline workplan, to assign duties, responsibilities, scope of authority, provide technical advice, and to resolve problems.
  • In conjunction with contractor, ensure all design activities are completed accurately and on time in accordance with master schedule.
  • May function as the prime client contact coordinating the resolution of problems, reviewing progress, recommending alternatives and advising on project objectives as dictated by corporate management.
  • May direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • May manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company's interest and maintain good relationship with Client.
  • Review construction contract documents and coordinate with subcontractors and General contractor/owner to gather the required information to design the project's sprinkler system.
  • Create detailed drawings through extensive use of AutoSprink program.
  • Maintain design historical records and historical records for all functions for future use.
  • Identify changes in projects that impact cost, schedule, or labor requirements.
  • Ensure work complies with codes and permits.
  • Perform Hydraulic calculations.
  • Ensure proper staffing is in place on each project.
  • Forecast future manpower requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
