Position Summary:

The Director of Corporate Manufacturing Finance will lead the financial strategy, business partnering activities, forecasting and manufacturing finance operations and cost accounting activities for the global manufacturing operations. This role will serve as a key member of the worldwide finance and accounting team and as a strategic partner to SVP of Global Operations. This position is key in providing financial leadership, business analytics, and performance management to ensure operational excellence and growth in addition to reporting and analysis of the results of financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing finance and business partnering activities, including cost accounting concepts, deep industry knowledge, and experience working within a global, multi-site organization, preferably in the semiconductor or related industries.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Financial Strategy & Leadership:

    • Develop and execute the financial strategy for global manufacturing operations to support business growth and profitability.
    • Partner with the manufacturing leadership team to drive cost efficiency, productivity, and performance improvements. Provide financial guidance on initiatives such as pricing, inventory management, and product development strategies.
    • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for manufacturing operations, ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals.
    • Implement cost control strategies, including margin improvement and waste reduction initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites.
    • Oversee and optimize manufacturing-related capital expenditures and resource allocation to ensure effective use of assets.
    • Analyze key financial metrics related to production, such as direct and indirect costs, to enhance decision-making. Support executive decision-making through robust financial analysis and reporting of operational KPIs.
    • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual transactional processes and reporting for manufacturing, providing clear and actionable insights to leadership.
    • Lead the preparation of variance analyses, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
    • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting tools to streamline data flow and increase accuracy.
    • Serve as the key liaison between finance, operations, supply chain, and other functional teams to ensure financial alignment across the business.
    • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
    • Support talent development and succession planning within the finance organization.





Experience, Education and Skills Required:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA, CMA or CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience in a complex manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role and demonstrated excellence in serving as a key business partner for the manufacturing function.
  • Experience within the semiconductor or electronics industry strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading, and success growing and retaining a diverse team.
  • Proven success as a transformative leader with key roles in global initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial modeling, and operational KPIs.
  • Proven experience managing financial operations for global, multi-site manufacturing facilities.
  • Expertise in ERP systems and financial reporting tools; Oracle experience preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

The pay range for this role in Livermore, CA is between $183,400 and $240,765. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
