Patient Representative

Spectrum Healthcare is seeking a full time Patient Representative (advocate) to work at Fairfax Ambulatory Care Center in Fairfax, Virginia.

This integral part of the Healtcare team is responsible to Investigate, resolve, document and report organization-specific patient and visitor compliments and concerns to leadership and staff. Develop, implement and participate in customer service and patient relations initiatives related to the clinic. .

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm

Job Duties:

• Facilitate resolution of complaints/grievances/requests for Patients & Visitors for FHC.
• Document patient/visitor concerns to include patient demographic data, synopsis of incident, actions taken to resolve, and outcome; input into Patient Feedback Tracker spreadsheet.
• Coordinate and communicate information pertinent to the goals of the FHC and the FBCH Healthcare System.
• Coordinate interventions/services with FBCH Patient Advocate Office and Risk Management.
• Help resolve complaints by listening to patient's needs and directing them to appropriate supervisor or physician
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described

Job Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED is required.
• Five Years' experience with extensive knowledge of organization, clinical leadership and scope of care.
• Possess strong customer service skills/interpersonal interactions; ability to handle difficult and angry people constructively; savvy enough to interact with providers/senior leadership.
• Must be able to address difficult, awkward situations with tact and diplomacy.
• Have knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in the use of basic word processing, data entry and automated records.
• Must be a U.S citizen
