Software Engineer

BigBear.ai is seeking a Software Engineer to provide software engineering support.

This position will be based out of Annapolis Junction, MD and will report on-site daily (no remote flexibility).

As a Software Engineer on the program, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and defining requirements to determine the most effective software and web technologies to meet client needs. You will develop, maintain, support, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements, providing specific input to systems design and adhering to formal design processes and guidelines.

You will design and develop user-friendly interfaces, maintain technical documentation, and ensure the quality control of software. Additionally, you will select development processes, recommend new technologies, and troubleshoot complex software problems. Finally, you will integrate new products with existing applications to improve system functionality and design

• Gather, analyze, and define requirements to determine the most effective software and web technologies to meet client needs.
• Develop, maintain, support, and enhance complex software systems while adhering to formal design processes and guidelines.
• Design and develop user-friendly interfaces, maintain technical documentation, and ensure software quality control.
• Select and implement development processes, recommend new technologies, and troubleshoot complex software issues.
• Integrate new products with existing applications to improve overall system functionality and design.

• Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance
• 5+ Years of Experience and a Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of two years experience designing developing and supporting Appian or Appian-based applications
• Ability to complete development work on the high side Linux environment
• Security+ certification
• Java experience (any level of experience is applicable)
• Python experience (any level of experience is applicable)
• Mongo experience (any level of experience is applicable)
• Postgres experience (any level of experience is applicable)

• Skilled in communications with government customers on issues
• Cloud experience
• Familiar with DIA's engineering environment
• Ability to capture user issues and feedback
• Ability to create sustainable processes new line
• FIDBOX-X Experience
• Skilled and engineering efforts using appian of core processes for a federal government agency
