Who we are looking for: We are currently looking for a Procurement Analyst II to be based out of New Bedford, MA. Reporting to the Procurement Director, this person will interface heavily with external suppliers, internal manufacturing, engineering, and sales team members to improve inventory performance, cost, delivery, quality, and lead time. The ideal candidate will have experience in Procurement and a working knowledge Inventory Control and Logistics/Freight. The incumbent analyzes production requirements and orders material to ensure an uninterrupted flow of goods and services sufficient to support the master production schedule. The candidate will be responsible for the most vital raw materials and will have a strong working knowledge of MRP concepts, Inventory Control, and Logistics/Freight. This position will also identify and develop new sources of supply and new/alternative materials in support of the business unit's production team and its cost reduction efforts. The Procurement Analyst II will participate in the promotion and facilitation of events supporting the entire value chain. This position is a highly visible role that will focus on key cross functional processes and system improvements allowing us to accelerate the standardization, stability, and simplification in the manufacturing supply chain.
