Overview

Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. To support the mission of Helio Health, Inc. the Centralized Intake Specialist is responsible for facilitating preadmission activities including the development and relationship management with county SPOA, AOT, and Forensic Coordinators, other community providers, State PC staff, local hospitals, jail/dept of corrections/probation/parole and other partners necessary for referral flow.

The Centralized Intake Specialist will work on a Full-Time basis out of Helio Health's 518 James Street Program.

Pay Range: $24.03 - $26.74 per hour

In addition to Helio Health's comprehensive benefits package, Full-Time hires for this position are eligible for a Sign-On Incentive up to $1,500.00!



Responsibilities

    Receives, reviews, and responds to applications and inquiries for admission.
  • Requests and reviews necessary historical health and legal information relative to referral.
  • With consent, accesses OMH PSYCKES and HealtheConnections as part of the assessment process.
  • Provides ongoing community education around program developments and referral flow.
  • Aids in marketing efforts when necessary to increase referral flow for program vacancies.
  • Using person-centered methodology, meets with individuals and their collateral supports to provide preliminary assessments of the individual's needs and strengths and their interest in and eligibility for specific program settings.
  • Follows regulations and agency policies/ best practices.
  • Documents assessments and records follow up discussions in EHR.
  • Presents pre-admission assessment to program leadership staff for consideration for admission.
  • Maintains accurate data, including utilization data in EHR and OMH CAIRS.
  • Helps represent program to the community.
  • Participates in various community meetings aimed towards residential admissions activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in human services or other experience appropriate to program setting preferred.
  • Minimum of Associate's Degree required. A Bachelor's degree in a related human service field is strongly preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted for the educational requirements.
  • Sound judgment and cultural competency.
  • Ability to relate effectively with staff, patients and professional community.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Salary and hourly compensation offers are based on candidate's education level and experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager and program.
