Summary: Mazak Corporation is hiring an on-site Network Engineer to join our IT team located at our Headquarters in Florence, KY. This is not a remote position. The Network Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliable and secure operation of network infrastructure across all Mazak North America sites. This includes configuring, deploying, supporting, and monitoring network hardware and software, with a strong emphasis on integrating security best practices into every aspect of network management. Scope and Responsibilities: Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following: * Configure, support, and monitor LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, wireless controllers, and access points across office locations throughout North America. * Configure, support, and monitor a multi-site Cisco VOIP phone system and other telephony solutions. * Deploy and manage firewalls and related technologies, including VPNs, DMZs, and other security solutions, to protect networks through continuous monitoring and threat detection. * Rapidly diagnose and resolve complex network problems and infrastructure failures to minimize business disruption. * Configure, monitor, and optimize an SD-WAN solution across North America. * Assist in the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans. * Ensure the security and integrity of the network infrastructure by planning and deploying network hardware and software upgrades as needed. * Ensure ongoing optimization and security of network configurations by performing regular assessments using a variety of tools and processes. * Assist in the development and maintenance of all IT security policies and procedures. * Create and maintain detailed, clear, and accurate documentation for all responsible systems. Education/Certification: * Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field or equivalent years' experience in network administration * 5 years of professional experience * Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP preferred Skills: * Strong knowledge and understanding of network designs, concepts, and technologies. * Strong knowledge and understanding of network security principles and best practices. * Highly skilled in designing, implementing, and maintaining routing and switching solutions. * Proficiency with next-generation firewalls (NGFW) and related technologies, including VPNs, application control, and threat protection. * Experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting an SD-WAN solution. * Experience with configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and controllers. * Experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting voice infrastructure. Working knowledge of Cisco voice applications (CUCM, UCCX, Unity Connection) preferred. * Excellent troubleshooting skills, both independently and as part of a team. * Ability to coordinate vendors and managed service providers to meet business needs. * Strong willingness and ability to independently propose and execute process improvements. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including in-person, written, and telephone communication.
