Department: Legal

Reports To: Risk Manager

Salary Range: $56,466-$84,700 annually, plus bonus opportunity

As Risk Management Analyst, you will support the analysis and management of third party and captive insurance programs. This role involves reviewing insurance data, preparing reports, and processing claims. You will work closely with the insurance brokers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure effective risk management and compliance with insurance regulations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Collaborate with various Departments to complete insurance renewal applications.
  • Prepare the insurance budget, including cost allocations.
  • Work with Accounting and Traffic teams to facilitate cargo claims processing.
  • Facilitate an external insurance policy review.
  • Assist in executing the insurance strategic plan.
  • Coordinate and manage insurance policies within the captive insurance company and any related accounting, treasury, and tax support.
  • Prepare the insurance balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Process captive insurance claim payments and analyze claim results.
  • Build and maintain relationships with insurance brokers.
  • Applying lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste.


YOU MUST HAVE



  • Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet established deadlines/goal dates.
  • Ability to handle confidential material in a professional manner.
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Access programs.


YOU MAY ALSO HAVE



  • Previous experience in finance, accounting, or data analysis.
  • Effective organization and planning skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.


ROLE SPECIFICS



  • Travel: Occasional overnight travel for outside trainings and meetings. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.
