The Member Business Services Loan Specialist is responsible for processing all loans including new, renewed and modifications for each commercial loan. This position also assists Loan Officers and other Business Services staff in day-to-day member support needs.

*Employees are expected to adhere to all rules and regulations applicable to this position, including but not limited to all policies and procedures pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

* Processing Loan Documentation from start to finish with the Loan Officers

o Proper loan document set.

o Proper collection and review of flood status determinations and other regulatory docs such as Secretary of State Status, UCC filings, etc.

o Coordinates with title companies to ensure all closing documents are in-order and all funds required for closing have been requested.

o Ensures proper insurance documents have been provided prior to closing.

o Proper collection and review of organizational and corporate documents.

o Prepare final loan folders - digital and paper.

o Complete all nCino stages and upload all required loan docs.

o At-closing loan approval conditions have been satisfied and signed off on.

* Booking commercial credit cards. This includes all required processes after the card has been approved by credit; including reviewing and collecting appropriate documentation.

* Filing liens according to Uniform Commercial Code (UCC).

* Preparing HMDA LAR and other regulatory requirements - Monthly/Quarterly

* Handle member account maintenance needs and wire requests, as needed.

* Back up for construction related items including draws, paying third party vendors, loan payments, converting construction loan into permanent loan, as needed.

* Back-up for pulling Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports (NSF Report, and Past due report.)

* Contact for Commercial Loans done at a Branch including preparing documents for Branch staff and booking loans.

* As needed, assist in testing Loan Operations System (nCino) new releases in Sandbox.

* Assists Loan Officers and credit staff in day-to-day member support needs including scanning financials when received.

* Assist Ops Manager and MBS Leadership with Internal & External Audits and Examinations.

* Assist Ops Manager with development and maintenance of procedures and policy.

* Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Required Skills

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:

* Education and Credentials

o High School diploma or GED Equivalent required

* Experience

o 1-2 years of banking, financial services, customer service or professional office operations experience required

* Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

o Proficiency with MS Word and Excel required

o Strong attention to detail

o Ability to work well under pressure and regular interruptions

o High level of member service and interpersonal skills

o Strong organizational and problem solving skills

o Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, in a professional manner when dealing with employees, members, vendors and company contacts

o Ability to follow the core values of honesty, integrity, mutual respect, pride and ownership
