Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain a highly effective sales channel strategy for the Northern region to improve ABB's market penetration and achieve its growth aspirations. Each day, you will plan and ensure the execution of the sales strategy to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for the assigned channel in a profitable way with a focus on orders, revenues, growth, margin, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by leading, developing, and coaching the related Channel Sales organization.
The work model for the role is: remote (Li-Remote). There is flexibility in where the candidate lives, but it must be within the Northern territory (preferred locations are Cincinnati, Baltimore or within the Michigan area).
This role is contributing to the Electrification business.
You will be mainly accountable for:
* Create the annual district channel coverage strategy plans including TAR (Trade Area Review) process
* Responsible for monthly reporting on channel activity and performance, as well as evaluating and reviewing the performance of regional channel partners.
* Work with assigned account manager to develop channel partner plans based on national programs and activities, and define specific targets (volume, price, mix) for channel partners.
* Work with DSM to ensure all Tier 1 Distributor branches have account mgr. assigned to take the lead for ABB

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree (engineering, marketing or business administration or technical field preferred/ advanced degree desirable.)
  • Minimum 10 years related experience.
  • Channel partner management experience.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication and leadership skills.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $159,000 and $265,000 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
