Job Title Derivatives Legal Counsel and Negotiator

Corporate Title Vice President

Location Jacksonville, FL

Overview

You will be responsible for providing legal support to Deutsche Bank's derivatives trading businesses. Your responsibilities will include providing legal advice to key internal stakeholders, drafting, reviewing and negotiating master agreements and other trading documentation. You will engage directly with the Bank's diverse client base and actively manage legal and regulatory risk.

What You'll Do

  • Draft, review and negotiate trading documentation with the Bank's clients, including but not limited to ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes

  • Review Loan Agreements and determine security for derivatives transactions

  • Provide advisory guidance to internal Legal colleagues and Business colleagues to advise of risks and best practices

  • Manage your pipeline of active negotiations and the delivery of legal services in coordination with other members of the legal team

  • Liaise with other internal departments (i.e., credit, risk, compliance, operations, treasury, tax, etc.) as necessary for approvals and input by providing meaningful summary of the deviations from Deutsche Bank standard agreements and the risks associated with those deviation

  • Assist with developing and updating standard forms and templates

How You'll Lead

  • Act as subject matter expert and provide guidance within the team

Skills You'll Need

  • Law degree and qualified and registered as an attorney in Florida, New York or other US jurisdiction

  • Extensive Transactional experience with drafting and negotiation experience required. Experience with derivatives trading agreements and credit/loan agreements preferred

  • Ability to work under time pressures and must be highly organized and detail focused

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville, FL is $100,000.00 to $145,500.00. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
