Job Summary
**THIS POSITION IS FOR THE CHILD AND ADOLESCENT SECTION UNDER THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHIATRY AND BEHAVIORAL MEDICINE** Carilion Clinic, located in Roanoke, VA, is hiring a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Counselor (LCP) with expertise and experience in delivery of evidence-based psychotherapy and behavioral modalities among children, adolescents, and families. The position is predominantly clinical, with 100% of time devoted to patient care activities, and includes opportunities to teach and collaborate with our Child Psychiatry Fellowship and provide clinical supervision activities for residents in counseling. Areas of clinical expertise: Demonstrate knowledge and competency for evidence-based therapy services and use of measurement-based care to demonstrate clinical outcomes and efficacy of interventions. Be knowledgeable of methods and models for promoting delivery of therapy and behavioral health services to a culturally diverse population and geographic catchment. Will work well as an independent provider and function effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team-based culture and structure. Will be familiar with ethical, professional, and state regulations and standards for use of telehealth in delivery of therapy and behavioral health services. Full-time, Mon-Fri 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Minimum Qualifications
Education: Masters Degree from an accredited school of Social Work (CSWE) or Counseling (CACREP) required. Experience: At least two years of experience in the mental health profession. Licensure/Certification: Virginia Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) required. Other: : Meets Carilion Clinic credentialing requirements. Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with physicians and other health care providers. Committed to continuing education and integration of science in practice. Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication, and team working skills required. Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for the position.
