Job Title: Packaging Lead Mechanic

Job Description:
- The Lead Mechanic performs general supervision, performs advanced level preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all packaging equipment and systems, and conducts line changeovers and mechanical set-up of all equipment in accordance with the packaging schedule; provides lead direction and training to other level staff and performs technical and specialized mechanical set-up duties.
Role And Responsibilities:
- Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies, procedures, and state federal and local laws.
- Conducts required monthly preventative maintenance on all packaging equipment.
- Performs troubleshooting and repairs of packaging and processing equipment, and
- Mechanical and control systems.
- Performs schedule and other maintenance of all packaging equipment and performs specialized and critical repairs.
- Performs packaging line set-ups and changeovers, when needed or required.
- Provides work direction to other staff and organizes and assists with department training programs.
- Complies with all company equipment, safety, OSHA rules and regulations.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
- Maintains maintenance work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
- Support department goals for output and efficiencies.
- Performs related duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
- Must be flexible in terms of working hours to meet the requirements of the position.
- Must be able to fit and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and attire required to perform duties and assignments.
- Must be able to lift up to 65 pounds.
- Must be able to fit and wear respiratory, hearing, and other personnel protection as required for entry and work in New Vision Pharmaceuticals facilities.
- Must be able to fit and wear cleanroom attire as required for entry and work in the New Vision Pharmaceuticals cleanroom facilities.
- Must have 20/40 correctable vision.
- Hear well enough to converse on the radio, telephone and in person.
- Bodily mobility to walk, bend, stand, crouch, or climb for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day.

Required Qualification:
- High school diploma or equivalent with technical certifications or relevant vocational training.
Required Experience:
- Experience as a Packaging Mechanic and understanding of Packaging Technology .
- A minimum of 5 years working directly with manufacturing and packaging equipment and systems or equivalent job experience .
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical engineering in regulated Food / OTC Pharmaceuticals manufacturing environment .
