Key Responsibilities

  • Participates in the development and implementation of business strategies for the hotel which are aligned with Radisson's overall mission, vision values and strategies
  • Develops and implements strategies for achieving individual sales goals
  • Participates in the implementation of marketing and sales strategies that support achievement of the hotel's goals
  • Achieves market share and revenue goals by working with the Director of Sales (Marketing) on individual and team goals within assigned market segments
  • Develops data and recommends programs to meet clients' needs
  • Prepares proposals and contracts that are geared to maximize profit while satisfyingclient needs
  • Uses outside sales calls, prospecting, hotels tours and hosting of clients to solicitnew business
  • Contacts in-house customers to retain and grow existing business, repeat bookingsor referrals to other RHG Hotels
  • Reviews individual and team goals on a weekly basis; recommends and takesappropriate actions to achieve objectives in key result areas
  • Participates in the implementation of marketing strategies which are designed toincrease awareness in the local market
  • Participates in the implementation of public relations and advertising campaigns
  • Ensure all materials used are in accordance with brand standards
  • Maintains proper flow of information to sales team, reviews sales work file of assignedaccounts
  • Communicates clients' requests to all departments in an effective and timely manner
  • Ensures maximum occupancy on a daily basis by performing follow-ups on progressof groups booked with events services team
  • Participates in and contributes to the completion of monthly booking report(s)
  • Prepares reports to improve management decision making and critical evaluation ofwork activities
  • Acts as team leader and back-up to Director of Sales (Marketing)
  • Works closely with the Director of Sales (Marketing) to lead the team in his/herabsence
  • Develop key leadership skills by working with Director of Sales (Marketing), attending classes, and working with other executive committee members
  • Executing strategies and practices which support employee engagement
  • Recruits the human resources necessary to achieve hotel and ManagementServices' goals
  • Implementation of strategies and practices which support employee engagementthroughout the hotel
  • Actively recruits and selects qualified candidates for open roles
  • Implements performance expectations and provides employees with on-goingfeedback
  • Directly coaches and counsels the team to achieve performance objectives andreach their fullest potential
  • Executes employee engagement plans in the department
  • Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson experience through performancethat demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations
  • Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility, and uses teamwork whenproviding guest service
  • Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution, and follows through when resolving guest problems
  • Provides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
  • Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses theirbest judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction
  • Performs other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction andgenuine hospitality to our Guest

Responsibility #1 (50%):

  • Providing oversight and management to contracting groups and group
  • room blocks.

Responsibility #2 (25%):

  • Forecasting, setting, and monitoring of rates, and budgeting based off of
  • actuals, futures and market changes.

Responsibility #3 (25%):

  • Participating and promoting location specific marketing and promotions,
  • as they align with or enhance any brand existing offerings.

Requirements/Skills

  • High school diploma required, bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum three - five years hotel sales experience
  • Minimum one - two years supervisory experience preferred
  • General knowledge of contract laws
  • Experience managing owner relationships
  • Experience managing a team
  • Able to resolve conflicts; guests, supervisor and employee
  • Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensureteamwork
  • Previous experience operating Revenue Management Software (G3, OTA Insight, etc.)
  • Knowledge of hotel operations including; preparation of business plans, budgetforecasting, quality assurance program, hospitality law, and long-range planning
  • Ability to travel

Physical Demands

  • Required to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of times
  • Lift, carry, or otherwise move and use of force or exertion up to 75 lbs.
  • Use of manual dexterity of common office equipment; such as but not limited to, computers, printers, phones ect.
