Pay Range: $89,000-$126,000

The Retail Marketing Manager will create, enhance and drive retail marketing programs for all Tempur-Pedic retail stores with the goal of increasing sales through implementation and monitored performance to increase customer awareness and customer leads to drive store traffic. This individual will be a "hands on" resource for Tempur Retail Stores, collaborating with managers at the local level on new store openings and local marketing events, including developing marketing materials and being an on-site support, resource as needed.

What You'll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):



  • Support, communicate and create geo-targeted and seasonal marketing campaigns with a focus on driving store transactional traffic, a premium health and wellness brand experience and consumer engagement.
  • Create and evaluate local marketing events for retail stores, including grand opening events. This includes communication and coordination with retail store management and regional leadership to develop plans and timing of execution; establishing and managing event budgets; developing advertising materials and sourcing vendors and local contractors as needed; onsite oversight of execution of activities if required; and evaluating the ROI / effectiveness of the initiative /activity.
  • Function as a key CRM and Loyalty partner to plan and execute short- and long-term strategies to deliver relevant experiences driving customer experience.
  • Create, manage and complete monthly reconciliation of the retail store marketing budget.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness and return on investment of traditional advertising spend and local marketing events in terms of sales results, consumer response, foot traffic, and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Extensive understanding of customer relationship management, and the related tools and techniques used to effectively drive customer leads at the individual location level (email targeting / retargeting, Facebook, etc.)
  • Proficient understanding of traditional and digital marketing media and tactics and how to prioritize allocation of resources to effectively and cost-efficiently achieve marketing goals. Work in partnership with the DTC team direct and measure spend to ensure maximum ROI plus be able to interpret and integrate digital retail marketing trends to create online content as it relates to driving customer to TRS.
  • Work closely with business partners throughout the organization to support all aspects of this role.

    • Regional Directors, Store Management and Finance on various aspects of this role.
    • The retail team to understand store footprint, key cluster markets, store performance (i.e., traffic, conversion, ASP, etc.) to ensure programs are best positioned to support the growth and KPI targets for retail.
    • Performance Marketing team to build and execute social media and communication campaigns to drive customer leads, and provide engaging text, image and video content for social media accounts.
    • Consult with brand management team to stay updated on new products and features.
    • Third-party vendors and Marketing Communications (Marcomm) to deploy traditional and digital media campaigns to support agreed upon strategies, understand brand and image standards, and to source creative to be utilized in advertising materials to ensure brand consistency.
    • Utilize innovative marketing techniques such as mobile and digital to drive brand and consumer activation.


  • Establish relationships with community associations, property groups, mall marketing affiliates, and free-standing location contacts to build relationships and establish opportunities for future activities.
  • Monitor and respond to customer comments, queries, feedback and online reviews in a timely manner.
  • Research and contract vendors, including negotiation of terms, ongoing management of relationships, and invoice processing.
  • Communication leader within the TRS team responsible for newsletters and sequencing the communication coming from the various internal and external sources to ensure maximum message penetration.
  • Ability to implement marketing automation tools in performing her/his duties as it relates to campaigns and reporting results.
  • She/he ensures the maintenance of brand integrity in all marketing collateral design and applies best in class techniques and company brand standards in all campaigns/content.
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned.

What You'll Need (Qualifications):



  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • 4+ years of relevant advertising / marketing experience in a retail environment, which may include agency experience working with third-party.
  • Prior experience managing local marketing and/or community involvement programs (and other grass roots activities) to drive customer awareness and store/brand reputation in the marketplace.
  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment to support the objectives of the sale/operations teams (both at the individual location level and more broadly for the organization)
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple business events and activities concurrently.
  • Experience creating and managing project budgets.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, and a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally at various levels in the organization. Accordingly, the individual must possess exemplary listening, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time to multiple states to support markets and operations.
